Who is Frieda ?

definitions are complicated

I'm a queer trans·disciplinary artist, writer, and director, passionate about creating narratives that explore identity, gender, and politics in all their forms. My work seeks to engage perspectives that highlight the richness and diversity of human experiences. Always in search of innovative ways to tell our stories and forge connections with others, I am eager to see how my art will continue to evolve and surprise.

Circ'Us Egypte | Frieda teaching Port Saïd

My teaching philosophy revolves around sharing an engaged art form, rooted in exchange, autonomy, and cooperation, celebrating both the richness of collective interactions and individual exploration. I am passionate about participatory performances and projects that blend the artistic with the pedagogical. Through this approach, I strive to reduce the distance between artist and audience, teacher and student, professional and amateur, fostering meaningful exchange and collective transformation through artistic practice.

With a State Diploma in Circus Arts Teaching (Diplôme d’État de Professeur de Cirque), my approach places the process at the heart of the experience. Whether in an academic environment, within site-specific settings, or in circus and theater schools, I aim to create inclusive and supportive spaces where expression, connection, and learning come alive. My approach aspires to make each workshop a moment of discovery and sharing, cultivating values of respect, listening, and solidarity.
